I have a tabletop RPG group, we have played many systems over the years but mostly play AD&D 2E now with WEG D6 Star Wars game being the second most common system we play. I like to use RPG systems as guides/limits for my stories (though that's a major turn off to many publishers, on the other hand never finishing a story is probably also a major flaw if looking to get published). I started Daz to do character renders for our RPG and cover/chapter art for my story (which has a tendency to change every time we change game systems or modify rules).

Our house rules change somewhat frequently as I try to keep things challenging enough for Players while giving them the opportunities to do things they couldn't with other GMs. Right now we're in a fairly stable high power rules system in AD&D (modified from the Greyhawk Hardbound campaign book's 0-level character rules).

Our next campaign will return to the D6 Star Wars rule put out by West End Games. I've made rule for using classic D&D monsters and magic as well as a fairly fast paced mid-to-high power starting character build. I stripped it back a couple times removing restrictions that seemed to be more in the way than necessary.

Our setting will be Maltese (a magic hub connected to different dimensions) which can be reached from the Star Wars universe by traveling into the Dega gas clouds near Elrood and Minos clusters. The setting has connections to modern Earth as well as major D&D worlds (and pretty much any other game setting world like Star Trek, Cyberpunk, and Shadowrun).

Arcane Magic, Divine Magic, Force, and Psychics are all considered more or less the same but are all a little different (a character could master all 4 but would probably be much weaker than a character dedicated to just one). Magic and technology are traded openly in Maltese, but in some connecting worlds one or both stop working.

My main character is still the same with just enough changes to make him viable in the new rules structure and I've started another story intro using our current rules and setting to see how it goes.
